Securus Continues to Innovate Crime Fighting

Securus Technologies, one of the nations leading providers technology solutions for criminal justice, public safety, corrections and investigation agencies around the country. A recent article published by Securus included a number of comments from customers on how their technology was being used to prevent and solve crimes.

“We have received thousands of letters and emails regarding what we build and how what we do helps to keep society, including inmates, their families, and parolees safe. Building safety into what we do is part of our DNA – and that is an honor for us to protect and serve,” said Richard A. Smith, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Securus Technologies.

One comment came from a prison official thanking Securus for their help in gathering evidence that was used to obtain a search warrant for a corrupt staff member that led to that individual being arrested. Another comment explained how calls were monitored and this led to information on a number of illegal activity going on at the facility including the sale of drugs, drug use in the facility, inmate alcohol use, threats and a past incident where shots were fired.

Other testimonials explained how Securus Technologies is continually coming up with new solutions to the problems they face. “Once a week on average, we develop a new product or service that helps law enforcement and corrections officials to solve and prevent crimes” said Smith.

“For well over a decade now, our correctional facility has relied upon the technology solutions offered by Securus. It is encouraging to see that our vendor of choice is committed to both revolutionizing the incarceration environment and progressively helping us to improve public safety in our jurisdiction.” one testimonial stated.

These testimonials from Securus customers show that Securus is committed to keeping up with the growing challenges that technology presents to corrections facilities.
